Description field in metadata editor doesn't handle newlines properly

      Steps to reproduce:
      1. Add a new event or series.
      2. Click on the (initially empty) description field
      3. Add some characters like "foobar", place the cursor in the middle (after "foo") and press enter.
       
       Actual Results:

       .A newline is inserted and stored, but not displayed in the label. It's visible in edit mode, though.
       
       Expected Results:
       
      Newlines are deemed useful in the description and should be preserved and displayed. Another keyboard shortcut (for example, shift+enter) should be added to insert newlines without losing input focus.
