Add descriptions to publication channels to make their meaning more obvious
A while ago, the usability (in means of a user would understand what some displayed information means) of Event Details->General has been improved by allowing a description to be configured for each individual publication channel.
The goal of this task is to add some reasonable default descriptions that target users for whom it is not obvious what the individual publications mean.
Quite a while ago, I've asked the people of the Open Archives Initiative whether we may use their logo in Opencast:
There are several versions of the logo at
unfortunately not including av svg or other vector version.
Using the logo to indicate OAI-PMH support is appropriate. The specs as a while are CC-BY-SA so given that we haven't discussed or decided otherwise I think that applies to the logo to.
I don't think you should change the colors although making a greyed version would seem OK.

Dear Sir or Madam,
The Open Source product Opencast (www.opencast.org <http://www.opencast.org>) comes with an OAI-PMH server that enables Opencast to provide videos to OER repositories.
Since OAI-PMH is not the only publication channel Opencast can feed with data, the product has a page listing to what publications channels a video (“event”) has been made available to (see screenshot below).
I wonder whether we might use the Open Archives Initiative icon on that page in means of including it in the public Opencast source code base .
Therefore, I have some questions:
Are we allowed to use that icon for the purpose described in this E-mail?
Under what licenses is the icon available?
Or do you have other icons?
Are we allowed to change to colours of the icon to make it fit into our product design?
Would the icon(s) be available as vector graphic (svg) or high resolution image?
Icon would be used in a screen as shown below. Note that this is still under development (see ).
