Steps to reproduce:
Follow installation documentation for all-in-one.
Build 3rd party tools.
run "mvn clean install -DdeployTo=/opt/matterhorn/felix/matterhorn"
Build test failures. (see attached file)
Workaround (if any):
"locate gstinterfaces" returns no results even after running updatedb.
Capture agent test passes now. Unfortunately commit at r10246 broke EngageUITest. See attached install.log. Should I create a sepperate bug for it?
Thanks for looking at it, Adam.
Thanks. I created a new bug. completely unrelated to this one.
Chris, we've installed capture agent on all in one since 0.5 . I'm not sure why this isn't acceptable now. I don't think it should be removed from the default build since its necessary for demo capture.
Adam, my understanding is that having gstreamer + plugins installed will trigger certain unit tests and that these tests can run on any OS. Walt has a bad install which is causing these tests to fail, but it isn't a release blocker. More importantly, the tests that Nejc encountered re:CA no longer fail with or without gstreamer. I'll downgrade this to major and I suggest we upgrade this to critical if we find that it is more than a bad gstreamer install and it impacts other OS's.
We decided a week and a half ago that the demo capture agent was not to be a significant issue for 1.1. Until we get a solid xplatform gstreamer going this is going to be us just chasing our tails. As long as it's prioritized lower I'm fine with it, but someone wouldn's actually install the demo capture agent on their production server anyways, it's just for developers...
Nejc is inactive, and this is super old. Resolving.
